The Supervan 900 utilizes a Hartzell HC-B4TN-5NL/LT10890N Four-blade, reversible, full-feathering propeller. The diameter is 109.5” which, at the takeoff rpm of 1591 rpm, produces a mach tip speed of only .69 mach.
The propeller was originally designed for the agricultural market for improving the takeoff and climb performance of turbine powered crop dusters. It was perfectly suited to meet the needs of our Super Otter conversion in the harsh bush environment. Therefore, we knew it would work great for improving the OEM Caravan takeoff and climb performance.
